The Masked Dancer (abbreviated as TMD) is an American reality competition television series that premiered on Fox on December 27, 2020. Craig Robinson hosts the show, with Ken Jeong, Paula Abdul, Brian Austin Green, and Ashley Tisdale serving as panelists. Like The Masked Singer’s format, celebrity contestants wear head-to-toe costumes and face masks that conceal their identities, but perform alongside a “masked partner” in different dance styles. The show began as a recurring segment on Ellen DeGeneres’ daytime talk show which spoofed The Masked Singer. In pre-production since January 2020, filming was delayed until October due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States.
Actor and comedian Craig Robinson hosts the show. The Masked Singer panelist and comedian Ken Jeong, entertainer Paula Abdul, actor Brian Austin Green (who performed as “Giraffe” on The Masked Singer’s fourth season), and actress and singer Ashley Tisdale serve as panelists. Guest panelists included Cheryl Hines in the third episode and Rob Lowe in the fourth episode. Future guest panelists will include Whitney Cummings, Mayim Bialik, and Will Arnett.
“Mi Gente” (English: My People) is a song recorded by Colombian singer J Balvin and French singer and producer Willy William. It was released on 30 June 2017 through Scorpio Music and Universal Music Latin. It is a remix of Willy William’s song “Voodoo Song”. The single was serviced to United States contemporary hit radio on 18 July 2017. A remix version featuring Beyoncé was released on 28 September 2017. J Balvin and Willy William released six more “Mi Gente” remixes on 20 October 2017 with Steve Aoki, Alesso, Cedric Gervais, Dillon Francis, Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano, and Henry Fong.
