The Masked Singer 2020 (Season 4) aired its season finale on December 16, 2020 and the winner was finally revealed and unmasked. The Top 3 finalists, namely, Sun, Mushroom, and Crocodile gave incredible performances for the judges.
Who won The Masked Singer Season 4? Performing a stunning version of “The Story” by Brandi Carlile, the Sun was ultimately voted as the winner of The Masked Singer 2020 (Season 4). The Mushroom emerged as runner-up while the Crocodile got Third Place.
After she was pronounced as The Masked Singer winner for this season, the Sun was finally unmasked.
A lot of The Masked Singer fans already guessed who the Sun was prior to the reveal.

The Sun was revealed as American singer, songwriter, actress, and author LeAnn Rimes. Among the judges / panelists, Jenny McCarthy and Nicole Scherzinger made the right guess.
Prior to the Sun’s unmasking, the first impression guesses of the panelists/judges were retrieved from the vault and the panelists were asked once again who they think is behind the Sun Mask.
Jenny McCarthy thought at first that Sun is American singer and actress Demi Lovato. But she changed her guess to LeAnn Rimes because she heard the country twang and because of the Northern Lights clue, which she said is a movie which starred LeAnn Rimes.
Ken Jeong‘s initial guess was American actress, businesswoman and author Gwyneth Paltrow. He changed his guess to Mandy Moore because of the clues candy cane and mistletoe.
Nicole Scherzinger‘s first impression guess was American actress, singer, and songwriter Katharine McPhee. But she changed her guess to LeAnn Rimes because of the clues like early riser, blue foods, blueberries and blue wings everywhere. Nicole said all of those point to the song “Blue”, a song for which LeAnn Rimes won two Grammy Awards in 1996.
Robin Thicke believed on his first impression that the Sun was British singer and songwriter Natasha Bedingfield. But he changed his guess to Katharine McPhee based on a clue about the Sun’s partner which could be David Foster (McPhee’s husband).

LeAnn Rimes said being on The Masked Singer has been an overwhelming experience and said she didn’t expect it to be “this much work”, but it was a blast and was so much fun. “I’ve totally been brought back to when I was a kid, and I remember I was five years old when I told everyone I wanted to sing. And I’ve always wondered how I knew at that age that I wanted to sing and I kind of discovered it again behind this mask – and it was to give and receive love and that’s like totally what’s happened.”
Clues about the Sun were explained after the reveal. The blueberries are a clue to LeAnn’s hit Grammy-winning song “Blue”. The jaguar is a clue to LeAnn’s children’s book called “Jag”. The fire breathing super clue is a nod to her album “Spitfire”.
LeAnn Rimes (age 38) rose to stardom when she was just 13, following the release of her version of Bill Mack’s song “Blue”, for which she received Grammy Awards for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance. Since then Rimes has won many awards including three Academy of Country Music Awards (ACMs), a Country Music Association Award (CMA), 12 Billboard Music Awards and one American Music award plus a total of 7 Grammy Award nominations.

The fourth season of the American television series The Masked Singer premiered on Fox on September 23, 2020. Nick Cannon, singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, television and radio personality Jenny McCarthy, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, and recording artist Nicole Scherzinger all returned for their fourth season as host and panelists.
The panelists also engaged in a competition for the Golden Ear in this season. After each masked singer performed for the first time along with an initial clue package, each panelist wrote their first impressions-based guess at the identity of the celebrity. Those guesses were revealed after each celebrity was unmasked, with the panelists scoring a point for each celebrity they got correct from their initial first impression. The panelist with the most correct answers will win the Golden Ear. In the Season 4 finale, Jenny McCarthy received the first ever Golden Ear award on the show.
