The Crocodile was unmasked during the finale on The Masked Singer 2020 (Season 4). He won third place in the reality singing competition, with the Sun voted as the winner and Mushroom as runner-up. Startattle.com – The Masked Singer.
Before he was unmasked, the Crocodile peformed “Open Arms” by Journey.
Many fans of The Masked Singer already know the real identity of the celebrity behind the Crocodile Mask prior to the reveal.
So who is the Crocodile on The Masked Singer?
The Crocodile was revealed as American musician, singer and actor, Nick Carter. Among the judges / panelists, only Jenny McCarthy was able to guess who Crocodile was.
For his first impression guess, Ken Jeong believed that the Crocodile was Bradley Cooper. But because of the clues like three kids, croclinks, pizza rat and a daughter named Brooklyn, Ken changed his guess to American actor, singer and tv personality Nick Lachey.
Nicole Scherzinger first impression guess was Nick Lachey. But with the clue showing a hotel plus the performance, she concluded that Crocodile is someone from a boy band. When she heard his falsetto, and saw the clue with the words “jeans block”, she said Crocodile could be Canadian-American singer-songwriter and actor Jordan Knight, the lead singer of the boy band New Kids on the Block.
Robin Thicke‘s first impression guess is Jordan Knight because of the dance moves and the falsetto. But as producer of Jordan’s first album, Robin was pretty sure it is not Jordan’s voice he’s hearing from the Crocodile Masked Singer. He changed his guess to Howie D, the American singer, songwriter, and actor who’s a member of Backstreet Boys, because of Crocodile’s voice and the clue that he shared a screen with Craig Robinson.
Jenny McCarthy picked Nick Carter for her first impression guess. She did not change her guess because of the clue which showed Crocodile doing a back stroke and the clue of an angel, which she said refers to Nick Carter’s sister named Angel.

Nick Carter said he had to pull every trick out of the bag that he had because there’s some talented artists that are on the show. He said, “I’m just grateful to be here after 27 years. I’ve been in the business since I was 12 years old and it definitely brought me back to, you know, what it was like when it all started.”
Clues about the Crocodile were explained after the reveal. The American flag is a clue to Nick’s solo album “All American.” The “cult classic movie” clue is a nod to Nick’s role in “Edward Scissorhands.”
Nick Carter (age 40) gained fame as a teen idol and is best known as a member of the vocal group the Backstreet Boys. As of 2015, he has released three solo albums and a collaboration with Jordan Knight titled “Nick & Knight”. He has made occasional television appearances and starred in his own reality shows, House of Carters and I (Heart) Nick Carter.
The fourth season of the American television series The Masked Singer premiered on Fox on September 23, 2020. Nick Cannon, singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, television and radio personality Jenny McCarthy, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, and recording artist Nicole Scherzinger all returned for their fourth season as host and panelists.
The panelists also engaged in a competition for the Golden Ear in this season. After each masked singer performed for the first time along with an initial clue package, each panelist wrote their first impressions-based guess at the identity of the celebrity. Those guesses were revealed after each celebrity was unmasked, with the panelists scoring a point for each celebrity they got correct from their initial first impression. The panelist with the most correct answers will win the Golden Ear. In the Season 4 finale, Jenny McCarthy received the first ever Golden Ear award on the show.
