Godmothered is a comedy set at Christmas time. It tells the story of Eleanor (Jillian Bell), a young, inexperienced fairy godmother-in-training. Upon hearing that her profession is facing extinction, Eleanor decides to show the world that people still need fairy godmothers. She finds a mislaid letter from a girl in distress and tracks her down and discovers that the girl, Mackenzie (Isla Fisher), is now a 40-year-old single mom (Isla Fisher) working at a news station in Boston. Mackenzie has all but given up on the idea of “Happily Ever After,” but Eleanor is determined to give her a happiness makeover, whether she likes it or not. Startattle.com – Godmothered.

Godmothered is produced by Walt Disney Pictures and The Montecito Picture Company. Justin Springer serves as producer, with Ivan Reitman, Tom Pollock, Amie Karp and Diane L. Sabatini as executive producers. The film will debut exclusively on Disney+ on December 4, 2020.
The Walt Disney Company first began developing the film in September 2019. Principal photography began in January 2020 in Boston. Filming also occurred in Brasenose College, Oxford and in Malden.
