Young Marco (Owen Vaccaro) is obsessed with playing video games, and hardly leaves the house. When his grandfather moves in, Marco’s life is turned upside-down and he’s forced to go play outside. Nonno (Anthony Patellis) introduces him to bocce – the world’s oldest game – and to the neighborhood crew of seniors who play daily at the local court. With sport, laughter and love, Marco finds connection to other people “in real life” and rounds up a team of neighborhood kids to take on his grandfather and his pals.
Team Marco is directed by filmmaker Julio Vincent Gambuto (Actors Anonymous co-director). Its screenplay is written by Gambuto and B.R. Uzun.

Team Marco is produced by Samuel Sandweiss and co-produced by Candice Kuwahara. The film
premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival in October 2019 where it won Audience Award for Family Films. It also screened at the Red Rock Film Festival in November 2019. The film received the Prsten Vuka – Velikih 5 – Best Feature Film award at the Omladinski Film Festival Sarajevo 2020.
Samuel Goldwyn Films is set to release Team Marco on Digital and on video on demand (VOD) on November 20, 2020.
