“Cuz I Love You” was originally released on February 14, 2019 as the first promotional single from Lizzo’s third studio album of the same name. It was serviced to top 40 radio stations on January 28, 2020 as the third single from the album. It peaked at number 35 on the US Adult Top 40 (Billboard).

Judges’ Comments:
Kelly Clarkson said she was the first person to turn around because Tamara Jade is incredible. She said it doesn’t matter because Tamara will be in the finale, which the auditionee readily reacted to with “I received that.” Kelly continued, “Everybody needs to be inspired right now. That’s why this is called “The Voice,” is you want someone that really moves everyone, and that’s you. I do think it would be helpful to have, I don’t know, someone who’s navigated a vocal competition.” Kelly said that Tamara should be in her team because she loves her, and that Tamara would look fantastic in purple, the color of Team Kelly’s jackets. Later on, Kelly added that said she loves that Tamara’s vocal runs sound like she’s “just simply exhaling.”
Blake Shelton commented he was the last one to hit the button because the big choruses were so over-the-top incredible that he finally said, “Screw it, artist to artist, this makes zero sense for you to go with somebody like me. But coach to artist, I think it makes perfect sense.” Blake concluded that in his heart, he thinks Tamara can win the competition.
John Legend said that the fact that Tamara can rap-sing, sing big soulful notes, and at the very end of the song sang it more gracefully and more tenderly, showed that she can do literally everything. John exclaimed, “I would love to coach you!”
Gwen Stefani pointed out that she has bounced between so many different genres of music and said she could help Tamara with the rap-singing. Gwen loves Tamara’s personality but she loves to investigate who Tamara is and how she could speak to people and connect to people.
The nineteenth season of the American reality television series The Voice premiered on October 19, 2020, on NBC. Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend returned as coaches for their nineteenth, sixth and fourth season, respectively. Gwen Stefani rejoined the panel for her fifth season, after being replaced by Nick Jonas last season. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his nineteenth season as host.
