The Midnight Sky follows Augustine Lofthouse (George Clooney), a lonely scientist in the Arctic, as he races to stop Sully (Felicity Jones) and her fellow astronauts from returning home to a mysterious global catastrophe.
This post-apocalyptic science fiction film is directed by American actor, film director, producer, and screenwriter George Clooney (Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, Good Night and Good Luck, Leatherheads, The Ides of March, The Monuments Men, Suburbicon). Its screenplay is written by Mark L. Smith, based on the novel Good Morning, Midnight by Lily Brooks-Dalton. The film stars Clooney, Felicity Jones, Kyle Chandler, David Oyelowo, Demián Bichir and Tiffany Boone.
