Giraffe was unmasked and his identity was revealed after getting the least votes during The Group A Play Offs (Week 3) on The Masked Singer Season 4 (2020).
Before he was unmasked, Giraffe performed a lively version of “Get Down on It” by Kool & the Gang.
So who is the Giraffe Masked Singer?
Many of The Masked Singer fans were unable to guess who Giraffe is. The names of Vanilla Ice, Anthony Ramos and Travis Barker were floated as possible Giraffe. A lot were surprised when Giraffe was unmasked and he turned out to be American actor, rapper and producer Brian Austin Green. No one among the panelists guessed that Giraffe is Green.
The first impression guesses of the panelists also failed to pin down who Giraffe is. Ken Jeong‘s first impression of Giraffe was American rapper and songwriter will.i.am. He later changed his guess to American actor and filmmaker Shia LaBeouf because of the clues in Giraffe’s package. Nicole Scherzinger‘s first impression guess was American semi-retired professional stock car racing driver and team owner Dale Earnhardt Jr. Nicole did not change her guess because of all the car crash clues and the number eight clue which she thinks reflects the number of the car that Dale drives.
Meanwhile, Jenny McCarthy thought Giraffe was American musician and Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. She changed her first impression guess to American actor and comedian Seth Green. On the other hand, Robin Thicke‘s first impression guess was American actor and comedian Jaleel White. He later changed his guess to Travis Barker, agreeing with Jenny’s first impression guess.
Guest panelist Joel McHale guessed that Giraffe is Jason Priestley because he connected the clues to 90210 and because Priestley had a big car crash in a race.

Brian Austin Green looked at Robin Thicke when he was unmasked, while the latter covered his face with his hands. It turns out that Brian and Robin are close friends and are neighbors. Green even said that the Robin on his shoulder in the clue package refers to Robin and that they had a group called Think Twice when they were young. Robin said he and Brian were best friends as teenagers and that he used to go to the set of 90210.
Some of the clues were also explained during the reveal. The carnival theme in Giraffe’s package hints to Brian’s rap album “One Stop Carnival”. The racing mentions are clues to Brian winning the celebrity portion of the Grand Prix of Long Beach in 2010.
Brian Austin Green (age 47) is best known for his role as David Silver on the TV series Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990-2000). He was also a series regular on Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Freddie, Wedding Band, and Anger Management. His film credits include Kickboxer 2, Domino, ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2, and Don’t Blink.
In May 2020, Green announced that he and Megan Fox had separated after nearly 10 years of marriage.
The Masked Singer is an American reality singing competition TV series and is part of the Masked Singer franchise featuring celebrities in head-to-toe costumes and face masks which conceal their identities from other contestants, panelists, and an audience. It premiered on Fox on January 2, 2019, and is hosted by Nick Cannon. The series was renewed for a fourth season and aire its first episode on September 23, 2020.

The host and all of the panelists returned for their fourth season. For the first time in the show, the panelists engaged in a competition for the Golden Ear. During the first three episodes, after each celebrity contestant’s initial performance along with an initial clue package, each judge/ panelist wrote their first impressions-based guess at the identity of the celebrity. Those guesses will be revealed after each celebrity was unmasked, with panelists scoring a point for each celebrity they got correct from their initial first impression. The panelist with the most correct answers will be declared the winner of the Golden Ear.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the location was changed from Television City to Red Studios Hollywood. Safety protocols implemented for the show included tapings to have a virtual audience, and that the judging panel will be 8 feet apart from each other. Many of the clues packaged also used animation by Bento Box Entertainment as opposed to live-action filming.
Fox Alternative Entertainment president Rob Wade said that the show used “various quarantining and various camera tricks” to preserve the visible presence of a studio audience. A “virtual audience” was incorporated into voting.
The Masked Singer Season 4 has 16 contestants, including the first-ever two-headed duet costume and the first puppet costume. The contestants of this season are said to have 46 Grammy nominations, 23 platinum records, 10 Hall of Fame appearances, and one Olympic gold medalist.
