Someone Has to Die (Spanish: Alguien tiene que morir) is an upcoming Spanish thriller web television limited series created by Manolo Caro, creator of the series The House of Flowers. The series takes place in 1950s Spain and has three episodes, revolving around a conservative and traditional society during the Franco regime, “where appearances and family ties play a key role”. It has an all-star cast, featuring Carmen Maura and Cecilia Suárez. It is set to premiere on Netflix in 2020.
A young man is recalled to Spain from Mexico by his family, who announce that they have found someone for him to marry. However, he brings back male ballet dancer Lázaro with him, surprising his conservative town.
