Filthy Rich Season 1 Episode 2
Filthy Rich is described as a “Gothic family drama in which wealth, power and religion collide – with outrageously soapy results”. It presents a world in which everyone has an ulterior motive and no one is going down without a fight.
The series is from writer/director Tate Taylor (“The Help,” “The Girl on the Train”). It is based on the 2016 New Zealand comedy-drama TV series of the same name, which was created by Rachel Lang and Gavin Strawhan. It is executive produced by Abe Sylvia, Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo, John Norris and Tate Taylor. Kim Cattrall also serves as a producer on the series.
Filthy Rich also stars Melia Kreiling, Aubrey Dollar, Corey Cott, Benjamin Levy Aguilar, Mark L. Young and Olivia Macklin, with Emmy Award nominee Steve Harris and Aaron Lazar.
In February 2019, it was announced that Five-time Emmy Award nominee and Screen Actors Guild and Golden Globe winner Kim Cattrall portrayed the lead role in the pilot. Alongside the pilot’s order announcement, in March 2019 it was reported that Steve Harris, Melia Kreiling, David Denman, and Olivia Macklin had joined the cast.
On May 9, 2019, it was announced that the production of Filthy Rich had been given a series order. It was originally supposed to start airing in the fall of 2019. Because of scheduling conflicts for executive producer Tate Taylor, the series was pushed back to spring 2020. It was moved further to its fall schedule for 2020-21 television season because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
