The World of Dance Season 4 (2020) on NBC has just concluded and the dance trio of MDC 3 has been crowned as the winner.
MDC 3 is a trio of contemporary dancers composed of dancers Madison Smith (age 17), Diego Pasillas (17) and Emma Mather (age 15). They are all from the Mather Dance Company, which was founded by Shannon Mather. They have been dancing as a trio since 2014.
Performing to the song “I Surrender by Celine Dion (MDC 3 Finals), MDC 3 won with an average score of 95.7 during the World Finals. The group was followed closely by Salsa dancers Jefferson y Adrianita (Jefferson y Adrianita Finals), who got an average score of 95.3. In third place are contemporary dancers Géometrié Variable (Géometrié Variable Finals), with an average score of 93.3. The urban dance group Oxygen (Oxygen Finals) from Netherlands took the 4th spot with an average score of 93.
World of Dance Winner | The World Finals 2020
NBC World of Dance follows the world’s elite dancers in an unparalleled dance competition for a grand prize of $1 million.
On its fourth season the hit dance competition series is once again led by a judging panel of extraordinary dance superstars – Jennifer Lopez (who also serves as an executive producer), Derek Hough and NE-YO. Scott Evans returns as host.
The series, from Universal Television Alternative Studio and Nuyorican Productions, gives dancers the platform to showcase their talents for the opportunity to receive a life-altering grand prize of $1 million and the title of best dancer in the world. Solo dancers compete against duos and crews in an unlimited range of dance, including hip-hop, contemporary, ballet, break-dancing, ballroom and more. Contestants are scored by the judges.

The series premiered on NBC on May 30, 2017. The fourth season premiered on May 26, 2020 and had its finale on August 12, 2020.
