Jae-Jai performed a cover of “Speechless” from the 2019 soundtrack of Aladdin during the Blind Auditions of The Voice Kids UK 2020 (Series 4).
“Speechless” was recorded by Naomi Scott, who played the role of Princess Jasmine in Disney’s musical live-action fantasy film Aladdin (2019). The song was pre-nominated as Best Original Song at the Oscar 2020 but it wasn’t nominated on the final list.
Jae-Jai’s rendition of the Disney song impressed Pixie Lott, who turned her chair just a few seconds before Jae-Jai’s performance ended. Jae-Jai is the last member recruited by Pixie for her team.

Aside from performing a Disney song for his audition, Jae-Jai also showed The Voice Kids UK coaches his songwriting skills by performing his Chicken Nugget song. Noting that Jae-Jai can make anything sound good, Danny Jones asked him to sing about the red chair of the Coaches. And just like that, Jae-Jai came up with a couple of melodic lines about the red chair.
The Voice Kids (British series 4) – The Voice Kids UK is a British TV music competition to find new singing talent. The fourth series premiered on July 11, 2020, and will be broadcast on a weekly basis on ITV. As with the previous three series, it will be hosted by Emma Willis. Danny Jones, Pixie Lott and will.i.am return as coaches, but Jessie J has been replaced by Paloma Faith, who was also previously a coach on the adult version of the show.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the pre-recorded episodes – featuring the auditions and battle rounds – were filmed a few weeks before the nationwide lockdown in March 2020. No information on the live shows has been given yet.
The winner of The Voice Kids 2020 (Series 4) will receive £30,000 and a family trip to Universal Orlando Resort, Florida.
