The Doorman aka Doorman, follows the story of Ali (Ruby Rose), a former Marine turned doorman who befriends a family in the NYC apartment building where she works. A gang of thieves plot to take all the family’s valuables, and Ali is all that stands between them and their lives.
This action thriller film is directed by Japanese filmmaker Ryûhei Kitamura (Versus, Alive, Battlefield Baseball, Sky High, Godzilla: Final Wars, The Midnight Meat Train, Baton, No One Lives, Lupin the Third, Downrange). The screenplay is written by Lior Chefetz and Joe Swanson, from a story by Greg Williams and Matt McAllester. It stars Ruby Rose, Jean Reno, Louis Mandylor, Rupert Evans, Aksel Hennie and David Sakurai.

Australian model, actress and television presenter Ruby Rose plays the title role. Rose became known for her role in season three of the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black (2015-16). Her film credits include Resident Evil: The Final Chapter (2016), XXX: Return of Xander Cage (2017), John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017), Pitch Perfect 3 (2017), and The Meg (2018). She also starred as Kate Kane / Batwoman in the first season of the CW television series Batwoman (2019-20), but left the series after the first season concluded.
