The Babysitter: Killer Queen will continue the story of Cole Johnson (Judah Lewis), who is attempting to forget the horrors of his past while living another nightmare: high school. Everyone in Cole’s life thinks he has lost his mind since Bee and all of her friends disappeared, making it hard to believe his story about that horrific night. He is still hopelessly smitten with his best friend and next door neighbor Melanie (Emily Alyn Lind) – the only one who believes his story – who soon convinces him to forget the past and come to a party. But Cole is dealt another tragic blow as old enemies suddenly return to enact vengeance, forcing Cole to once again deal with the forces of evil and survive the night.
In September 2019, it was announced that Judah Lewis, Hana Mae Lee, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, Andrew Bachelor, Emily Alyn Lind, Leslie Bibb and Ken Marino would reprise their roles from the first film in the sequel. McG will direct the sequel from a screenplay by Dan Lagana. McG also produced the film, along with Zack Schiller and Mary Viola.
Jenna Ortega joined the cast of the film in October 2019, the same month when principal photography began.
The Babysitter 2 is set to be released on Netflix on September 10, 2020.
