Siala Robson (age 18) of Team George performed her original song “Emotional Criminal” during The Showdowns on The Voice Australia 2020 (Season 9).
Coach Boy George picked Siala Robson as one of his top two artists, along with Masha Mnjoyan. Both Siala and Masha of Team George advanced to the semi-final.
The three other artists from Team George, namely Elyse Sene-Lefao, Angela Fabian, and Virginia Lillye were eliminated from the competition.

Boy George said he picked Siala Robson because she represents individuality. “For me a star is someone that you can’t separate any part of. You know they’re just a totality and I think you come with that,” he told Siala. He said if Siala does not let mistakes get in her way, she could become a “reckoning force”.
The Voice Australia was renewed for a ninth season right after the end of the eighth season. It was announced that all coaches would return for the new season.
The ninth season of The Voice Australia begun airing on May 24, 2020. For the first time in the show’s history all of the coaches are returning: Delta Goodrem for her eighth, Kelly Rowland and Boy George for their fourth and Guy Sebastian for his second. Following the exit of Sonia Kruger, Darren McMullen, who hosted the first three seasons, returns with new co-host, Renee Bargh.
The show is part of the television franchise The Voice and is structured as three phases: blind auditions, battle rounds and live performance shows. The show added another phase in 2017: the knockouts between the blind auditions and the battles. The winner receives a recording contract with Universal Music or EMI (2019) as well as A$100,000 and other prizes.
