SamSam is directed by French animation filmmaker Tanguy de Kermel. Its screenplay is written by Jean Regnaud and Valérie Magis based on the TV series of the same name, which in turn was adapted from the children’s books penned by Serge Bloch.

Produced by Studiocanal and Folivari, SamSam the movie had its world premiere at the Annecy L’Hivernal Festival on December 7, 2019. It was released in France in February 2020. SamSam will be shown in select US theaters and will be available On Demand and Digital on August 7, 2020.
