Judges’ Comments:
Ne-Yo said “interesting” comes to mind when looking at Josh & Erica’s routine. He noted that Erica moved softer than Josh.
Derek Hough disagreed and said Erica was hitting hard as well and noted her gorgeous leg movements. He said the performance was innovative and creative using the prop (a suspender) and it was well executed.
Jennifer Lopez said it was a risky routine, considering Josh and Erica were attaching to each other and detaching with their prop. She said doing stuff like that forces them into a box but said the pair pulled it off amazingly.
Stephen “tWitch” Boss said it’s extremely difficult to judge. Because in essence, he said, they were judging two very different pieces of art. He advised the competitors to think of “things that are going to pop, things that are going to make us talk about you.” He said Josh and Erica did a great job and described the performance as awesome and great.
