Retaliation follows the story of Malky (Orlando Bloom), a demolition worker whose life receives a shock when, out drinking with friends at a pub, he sees a disturbing figure from his past: the man he holds responsible for a traumatic childhood incident. Fueled by anger, Malky sets out on a path of vengeance, and discovers that no one can escape the consequences of their sins.
Formerly title Romans, Retaliation is co-directed by filmmaker brothers Ludwig Shammasian and Paul Shammasian. It is their second feature film after The Pyramid Texts previously. The movie screenplay is written by Geoff Thompson.

Retaliation is produced by James Harris, Mark Lane, Jasper Graham, and Sheetal Vinod Talwar. This film first premiered at the Edinburgh Film Festival in 2017, where it won Best Performance in a British Feature Film for Anna Reid.
