Foundation is an upcoming American science fiction television series based on the book series of the same name by Isaac Asimov and produced for Apple TV+. The series was in pre-production, but on March 12, 2020, production was halted due to COVID-19.
Foundation chronicles “…the thousand year saga of The Foundation, a band of exiles who discover that the only way to save the Galactic Empire from destruction is to defy it.”
On 22 June 2020, as part of its Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple released a teaser trailer for the series. Apple also announced that the series will premiere in 2021.
