Who won The Voice 2020? Based on the public’s vote, Todd Tilghman of Team Blake Shelton emerged as The Voice 2020 winner. Runners-up for this season are Toneisha Harris, also from Team Blake, and Thunderstorm Artis of Team Nick Jonas. CammWess of Team John Legend came in 4th place while Micah Iverson of Team Kelly Clarkson came in at 5th place.
Todd Tilghman (age 42) is a pastor from Meridian, Mississippi. He was the first artist to perform on Season 18 and got a 4-chair-turn from the judges. Season 18 of The Voice premiered at 8PM on February 24, 2020 on NBC and aired Mondays at 8 PM. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their third, fifth and eighteenth seasons, respectively. Nick Jonas joined the panel as a new coach, replacing Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his eighteenth season as host.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, production has done some adjustments. For the first time ever, there were only three weeks of Live Shows: the Playoffs, the Semi-Final, and the Finale.
The three weeks of live shows aired as lives done at each contestant’s and coach’s home.
As to the voting system, the television audience voted to save their favorite artists and artists who received the fewest votes became eligible for the “Instant Save”. America then saved their favorite performer by voting on “The Voice” app (available on iOS and Android) or NBC.com. The artists with the fewest number of votes were “sent home” or eliminated each week.
