Micah Iverson (age 25) performed “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol during the Finale Performances on The Voice 2020 (Season 18).
Coach Kelly Clarkson said some people might think what Micah performed was easy, but it was not. “You make every song easy, you make it sound like it’s effortless. And what you do like going from your head voice to your chest voice, using all the ache, it’s so impressive. Honestly, it’s so much better than most people on the radio right now,” she said.
Kelly feels blessed that Micah is on her team and said she can’t wait to help work with Micah and make it happen for him after the competition. She concluded by saying, “I just think you’re a really talented individual. And I’m so glad that you could have picked them but you picked me. So, thank you so much.”

Micah Iverson Performs Snow Patrol’s “Chasing Cars” – The Voice Finale Performances 2020
“Chasing Cars” was released as the second single from Snow Patrol’s fourth studio album, Eyes Open (2006). The song gained popularity in the US after being featured in the second season finale of the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. It peaked at number 6 on the UK Singles Chart, and number 5 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song had sold over one million copies in the UK by October 2013 and 3,900,000 copies in the US by January 2015, making it one of the top best-selling rock songs in the digital era.
The Voice 2020 is now down to its Top 5 contestants or finalists, namely CammWess, Toneisha Harris, Thunderstorm Artis, Todd Tilghman, and Micah Iverson. The Live Finale Top 5 Results will be aired at 9PM on Tuesday, May 19, 2020.
Season 18 of The Voice premiered at 8PM on February 24, 2020 on NBC and aired Mondays at 8 PM. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their third, fifth and eighteenth seasons, respectively. Nick Jonas joined the panel as a new coach, replacing Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his eighteenth season as host.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, production has done some adjustments. For the first time ever, there will only be three weeks of Live Shows: the Playoffs, the Semi-Final, and the Finale.
The three weeks of live shows will also air as lives done at each contestant’s and coach’s home.
As to the voting system, the television audience voted to save their favorite artists and artists who receive the fewest votes became eligible for the “Instant Save”. America then saved their favorite performer by voting on “The Voice” app (available on iOS and Android) or NBC.com. The artists with the fewest number of votes were “sent home” or eliminated each week.
