Palindrome tells the story of young black man Fred (Jumaane Brown) as he struggles for freedom in modern Britain. Interwoven with this is a LGBTQ tale of a love triangle of three matriarchal characters.
This movie is set against the backdrop of Brexit and it’s impending doom. It tackles themes such as the meaning of current slavery, gentrification, art, love, race, mental health and politics.
Palindrome is both written and directed by British filmmaker Marcus Flemmings (Six Rounds).

Palindrome premiered at the London Independent Film Festival in February, 2020 and played at several film festivals, garnering a total of 18 wins and 3 nominations.
The movie won Best Feature Film at Aphrodite Film Awards, CKF International Film Festival, European Cinematography Awards (ECA), Florence Film Awards, Hollywood Film Competition, New York Movie Awards, The Monthly Film Festival and Narrative Features at the Calcutta International Film Festival. It also bagged three awards for Best LGBTQ Film, a Best Supporting Acting award for Tabata Cerezo and a Best Supporting Actress award for Sarah Swain. The film also won trophies for Best Production Design at the London Independent Film Festival, Best Sound Design at the Flicks Film Festival, and Best Concept Award at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Film Festival.
Palindrome will be released direct-to-VOD in the UK on June 1, 2020.
