The Firefighters performed “Leave a Light On” by Tom Walker during the Auditions round on Britain’s Got Talent 2020 (Season 14).

Taking note of the vocal trio’s blending, harmonization, as well as looks, the BGT judges gave them 4 YES votes, advancing them to the next round of Britain’s Got Talent.

Judges Comments:
David Walliams commented that The Firefighters are easy on the eye and said everyone loves firefighters. He asked if they are trained to lift people, even someone who’s 17 stone (238 lbs). When he learned that they are trained to do so, David walked on stage and had his dream come true when he was lifted on Christian’s back and brought back down the stage.
Alesha Dixon said it was a brilliant song choice and she loved the way all their voices blend together and that they’re doing it because they’re passionate about it. “I commend you on a really strong audition,” she concluded.
Amanda Holden couldn’t agree more with Alesha. She said, “The harmonizing, the arrangement was great and you look great out there. Well done boys.”
Simon Cowell said he likes people who have regular jobs who want to do something else and work hard to do it, and The Firefighters tick every box on that. He said it’s a really good audition.
Britain’s Got Talent (aka BGT) is a televised British talent show competition, and part of the global Got Talent franchise created by Simon Cowell. It is hosted by Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly (also known as Ant and Dec), and produced by both Thames (formerly Talkback Thames) and Syco Entertainment, distributed by Fremantle, and broadcast on ITV every year. The show premiered on June 9, 2007 following the success of America’s Got Talent the previous year.
Every year, contestants of any age can audition for the contest with whatever talent they wish to demonstrate. Auditionees seek to impress a panel of judges – at present, consisting of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams – in order to secure a place in the live rounds of BGT. The winner gets a cash prize and a place within that year’s performances for the Royal Variety Performance before members of the British Royal Family.
Britain’s Got Talent 2020 (Season 14) will air in two parts, the first in April 2020 with pre-recorded audition episodes, while the second containing the live rounds to be aired at a later date. The series was split into two parts because of the Covid-19 pandemic or coronavirus outbreak and the resulting lockdown issued by the British government.
