“Miracles” – Miles (Brandon Micheal Hal) helps his new friend suggestion, C.J. (Lonnie Chavis), a young boy who claims an angel wants him to reunite his father, Corey (Cornelius Smith, Jr.), the creator of the God Account’s original algorithm, with Corey’s estranged father.
“The Mountain” – Miles is forced to examine his lack of faith more than ever before when the God Account sends him his sister, Ali (Javicia Leslie), as a friend suggestion on the eve of her cancer surgery.
Both episodes were directed by Executive Producer Bryan Wynbrandt and written by Executive Producer Steven Lilien.

“God Friended Me” is an American comedy-drama TV series created by Steven Lilien and Bryan Wynbrandt. The series was ordered on May 11, 2018 and premiered on September 30, 2018 on CBS. It was renewed for a second season of 22 episodes which premiered on September 29, 2019. In March 2020, Season 2 filming was suspended due to the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic. The next month, CBS canceled the series after two seasons, and set the two-hour series finale for April 26, 2020.
The series follows an outspoken atheist named Miles Finer (Brandon Micheal Hal), whose life is turned upside-down when he receives a friend request on social media from an account named “God” and unwittingly becomes an agent of change in the lives and destinies of others around him. This account suggests new friends to Miles, people in his hometown of New York City, who will require assistance. Initially skeptical, Miles decides to follow these suggestions to help people.
His first request had been a doctor who lost a patient and was on the verge of losing his girlfriend. During his second request, he meets and befriends Cara Bloom (Violett Beane), a struggling magazine writer. Together with Cara and his hacker friend Rakesh (Suraj Sharma), Miles tries to find out who is behind the “God” account. Joining them on their journey is Miles’ supportive sister, Ali (Javicia Leslie), a doctoral psych student by day and bartender by night.
Miles’ atheist views sometimes causes friction with his father, Reverend Arthur Finer (Joe Morton), who recently decided to leave his longtime position as a preacher at Harlem’s Trinity Church and propose to his girlfriend, Trish (Erica Gimpel), a music store owner who helped Arthur rekindle his love of jazz.
American actor Brandon Micheal Hall (age 26) plays the role the atheist podcaster Miles Finer. Prior to his lead role in God Friended Me, Hall became known for his starring roles in the TV series Search Party (2016-present) and The Mayor (2017). Hall studied drama at the Juilliard School in New York City, from which he graduated in 2015.
