Who is Makayla Phillips
Makayla Phillips is an 18-year-old from Canyon Lake, California. She auditioned on America’s Got Talent Season 13 (AGT 2018) singing “Warrior” by Demi Lovato. Heidi Klum was impressed by her performance and pressed the Golden Buzzer.
Makayla Phillips is also bestfriends with singer-songwriter and pianist Kodi Lee, who won the America’s Got Talent Season 14 (AGT 2019).
The eighteenth season of the reality show singing competition American Idol premiered on February 16, 2020 on ABC. It is the third season to air on ABC since the series reboot; Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie returned as judges despite budget cuts. She moved to Los Angeles the following year to venture into secular music after Red Hill ceased operations and she subsequently began working with producers Glen Ballard, Dr. Luke, and Max Martin. After adopting the stage name Katy Perry and being dropped by The Island Def Jam Music Group and Columbia Records, she signed a recording contract with Capitol Records in April 2007.
Lionel Richie is an American singer, songwriter, composer, multi-instrumentalist, record producer and actor. His recordings with the Commodores and in his solo career made him one of the most successful balladeers of the 1980s.
Luke Bryan is an American country music singer and songwriter. He began his music career writing songs for Travis Tritt and Billy Currington – before signing with Capitol Nashville with his cousin, Chad Christopher Boyd, in 2007.
