Chelle (age 18) of Barbersville, Indiana sang an amazing cover of “idontwannabeyouanymore” by Billie Eilish during the Blind Auditions of The Voice 2020 (Season 18).
Blake Shelton pressed the button just 5 seconds after Chelle started singing, followed by Nick Jonas. In the last few bars of her rendition, Kelly Clarkson turned around.
Despite the insightful and convincing pitches of Blake and Nick to get Chelle on their team, she eventually picked Kelly Clarkson to be her coach on The Voice 2020.

John Legend admitted that he was stupid enough not to turn around for Chelle.
Nick Jonas said Chelle’s tone hit him and made him feel emotional. “You’re the kind of singer that I would die to write songs for,” he said.
Kelly Clarkson said that when she was Chelle’s age she would over-think everything, like balancing between being a good singer and a storyteller. Kelly said Chelle has so much beautiful potential. “Quit trying to be perfect all the time and really get lost in the message. I think you would really flourish in the show if you just let go.”
Blake said Chelle has incredible instincts and perfect pitch. Then he compared himself to the rest of the judges, saying Nick and Kelly are into other ventures aside from music, while he has won six times on The Voice and “lives and dies by music.”
The Voice is an American singing competition TV series which premiered during the spring television cycle on April 26, 2011 on NBC, and expanded into the fall cycle with the premiere of the third season on September 10, 2012. Based on the original The Voice of Holland, and part of The Voice franchise it has aired seventeen seasons and aims to find currently unsigned singing talent (solo or duets, professional and amateur) contested by aspiring singers, age 13 or over, drawn from public auditions.
Season 18 of The Voice premiered at 8PM on February 24, 2020 on NBC and it will air Mondays at 8 PM. John Legend, Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton returned as coaches for their third, fifth and eighteenth seasons, respectively. Nick Jonas joined the panel as a new coach, replacing Gwen Stefani. Meanwhile, Carson Daly returned for his eighteenth season as host.
