Tales from the Loop is an upcoming American drama TV series based on the art book with the same title by Stålenhag. The same narrative art book also spawned a role-playing game published in 2017 by Free League Publishing and Modiphius Entertainment.
The complete first season of Tales from the Loop will be released on Amazon Prime Video on April 3, 2020.

On July 17, 2018, it was announced that Amazon had given the production a series order for a first season consisting of eight episodes. Executive producers of the series are Matt Reeves, Adam Kassan, Rafi Crohn, Nathaniel Halpern, Mark Romanek, Mattias Montero, Johan Lindström, Samantha Taylor Pickett and Simon Stålenhag.
Matt Romanek directed the pilot episode of Tales from the Loop. Production companies involved with the series include 6th & Idaho, Indio, Amazon Studios, and Fox 21 Television Studios
Welsh actor Jonathan Pryce CBE (age 72) plays the role of Russ in in the series. Pryce became recognized with an award-winning performance in the title role of the Royal Court Theatre’s Hamlet, which led to several roles in film and TV. His breakthrough screen performance was in Terry Gilliam’s 1985 film Brazil. Pryce has won two Tony Awards, one for Comedians in 1977 and another in the musical Miss Saigon (1992), and has recently earned his first Oscar nomination for The Two Popes. Pryce’s film credits include Evita, Tomorrow Never Dies, Pirates of the Caribbean, Glengarry Glen Ross, The Age of Innocence, Carrington, The New World and The Wife. He was also cast as the High Sparrow on HBO’s Game of Thrones.
