The movie follows the story of a garage owner named Leigh Tiller, who decides to cover up an accidental killing borne out of self defense. She believes that its discovery could have devastating consequences for her and her son. But things spiral out of control when her conscience demands she return the dead man’s body to his family.
As Leigh is torn between her primal instincts and tortured conscience, she struggles to keep her sins hidden from her estranged father – a cop with a long history of moral compromise (Will Patton) – and from the girlfriend (Elisabeth Rohm) of the deceased.
Blood On Her Name is a noir thriller that explores questions of guilt, moral identity, and the irrevocability of choices in the direst circumstances. The movie is directed by Matthew Pope, in his feature directorial debut and the script is by Don Thompson and Pope.

American stage and screen actor Bethany Anne Lind plays the role of Leigh Tiller in the film. She is best known for creating roles in world premieres such as Margo in Carapace” (at Alliance Theatre), Olivia in 26 Miles (at Alliance Theatre), and Dora in “The Storytelling Ability of a Boy” (at Florida Stage). In May 2009, her performance on the opening night in “Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business” was praised by the critcs. Her film credits include Mean Girls 2 (2011) and Crackerjack, produced by Jeff Foxworthy.
William Rankin Patton (age 65) plays the role of Richard Tiller. Patton is an American actor and audiobook narrator who starred as Colonel Dan Weaver in the TNT science fiction series Falling Skies. He also appeared in movies such as Desperately Seeking Susan, Remember the Titans, Armageddon, Gone in 60 Seconds, American Violet, and The Punisher. He starred opposite Kevin Costner in two films: No Way Out (1987) and The Postman (1997) and was nominated for the Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of General Bethlehem in the latter.
Patton has been in numerous films since 1981 and TV shows as well, since 1982 and has done a great deal of voice work with audio books including the audio version of The Assault on Reason by Al Gore and the audio version for 22 books written by best-selling mystery writer James Lee Burke. He won two Obie Awards for best actor in Sam Shepard’s play Fool for Love and the Public Theater production of What Did He See?
From 2011 to 2015, Patton starred as Colonel Weaver in the TNT sci-fi TV series Falling Skies and in 2019, Patton portrayed Avery Sunderland in the DC Universe (streaming service) TV series, Swamp Thing (2019 TV series).
Portraying the role of Dani Wilson in the movie is German-American TV and film actress Elisabeth Röhm (age 46). Röhm is best known for playing Kate Lockley in the TV series Angel from 1999 to 2001 and Serena Southerlyn in the TV series Law & Order from 2001 to 2005. Her film credits include American Hustle (2014), Joy (2015) and Bombshell (2019).
Röhm recently completed a role on NCIS (season 14) with Mark Harmon and Netflix’s Flaked and the film Once Upon a Time in Venice. She will soon appear in The Oath, Love Is All You Need?, Sgt. Will Gardner, and The Tribes of Palos Verdes with Jennifer Garner.
