Marcelito Pomoy is a Filipino singer, known for his ability to sing in both tenor and soprano. He is the grand winner of the second season of Pilipinas Got Talent.

Marcelito Pomoy Sings “Beauty And The Beast” With DUAL VOICES! – America’s Got Talent: The Champions.
Heidi Klum said Marcelito Pomoy’s performance never gets old. She said that it’s just incredible “over and over and over again” when so many voices comes out of Marcelito’s body. She said that she can feel it from the reaction of the audience too, that it’s so amazing. She said Marcelito’s very smart because he always pick songs that they all know and love that they can follow and he does it so well and it’s incredible.
Howie Mandel said that the first time he saw Marcelito, he was blown away because “it was the surprise of it all” because of his dual voices. The second time Marcelito performed, he said he “enjoyed it just as much if not more” and he said Marcelito made the right choices on the right song for his Finals performance. He concluded by saying, “Great job tonight.”
Alesha Dixon said the song choice was perfect. She thinks Marcelito upped his game from his last performance. She said, “The high notes on that song were beautiful. You absolutely nailed it tonight and I couldn’t be happier for you. Love you.”
Simon Cowell said that Marcelito is a very nice and a very talented guy. He said that Marcelito’s finals performance is better than the last performance he did, “much much better.” Then Simon said, “However, if it was my choice on a night like this, I would have done something less predictable.” At this point, the audience and Alesha Dixon reacted negatively to Simon’s statement. Alesha said, “how was that predictable?”
Simon explained that the songs chosen by Marcelito were very safe. He said that if Marcelito had done something out of his comfort zone that will shock the audience for his choice, that would have given Marcelito another moment. Simon said he thinks Marcelito’s got a massive career ahead of him, which host Terry Crews agreed with.
Marcelito Pomoy was born in Imus, Cavite and raised in Bislig City, Surigao del Sur. When he was young, his father was incarcerated while his mother left him alone with his younger sibling and went to Manila. He was later adopted by a police officer and did odd jobs when he was a teenager. Later on, both his biological father and mother had separate families on their own. Pomoy had discovered a talent of his while doing a poultry work: singing in both a male tenor voice and a strikingly convincing female soprano voice. This talent of his paved the way for him to join different contests in both the amateur and professional leagues. He tried his luck in Talentadong Pinoy, but didn’t make it. He later joined the second season of Pilipinas Got Talent, and made the cut.
At the course of his PGT stint, he was able to fulfill his lifelong dream to reunite with his family.
Marcelito Pomoy’s success on PGT led to his being a contestant on the second season of America’s Got Talent: The Champions, beginning with episode 2 which aired January 13, 2020.
Marcelito Pomoy makes regular appearances on ASAP, and his first studio album, entitled Duet Yourself, was released in 2011 under Star Records.
