American rock band KISS performed their signature song “Rock and Roll All Nite” live on the finale of America’s Got Talent: The Champions Season 2 (AGT Champions 2020).
KISS was one of the guest performers for the AGT Champions 2020 finale which included Lindsey Stirling, Modern Circus Mega Mix, Colin Cloud, and Blink-182’s drummer Travis Barker. AGT Season 14 (2019) winner Kodi Lee, America’s Got Talent Season 13 and AGT Champions Season 1 winner Shin Lim and sand animation performance artist and Ukrainian Got Talent (Ukrayina maye talant) Season 1 winner Kseniya Simonova were also guests for the night.
Kiss (often stylized as KIϟϟ) was formed in New York City in January 1973 by Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley. It is a band which became popular in the 1970s and is well known for its members’ face paint and stage outfits and elaborate live performances. The band has gone through several lineup changes, with Stanley and Simmons being the only members to feature in every lineup. The original and best-known lineup consisted of Stanley (vocals and rhythm guitar), Simmons (vocals and bass), Frehley (lead guitar and vocals), and Criss (drums and vocals).
The band Kiss is one of the best-selling bands of all time, having sold more than 75 million records worldwide, including 25 million RIAA-certified albums. The band also holds the title as America’s #1 Gold record award-winning group of all time, having earned 30 Gold albums. Kiss also has 14 Platinum albums, with three albums being multi-Platinum. The four original members of Kiss were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014. It was ranked by MTV as the ninth “Greatest Metal Band of All Time”, and placed tenth on VH1’s “100 Greatest Artists of Hard Rock” list.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions is a spin-off of America’s Got Talent (also known as AGT), a televised American talent show competition, created by Simon Cowell.
AGT Champions’ second season features a star-studded panel of judges, including Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel and the newest addition – singer, songwriter and author Alesha Dixon. Terry Crews returns as host.
The winner of AGT Champions 2020 will be announced during the finale show on February 17, 2020 on NBC.
