Dragonheart: Vengeance is an American-British-Romanian fantasy adventure film directed by Ivan Silvestrini. It is the third direct-to-video entry in the series, and the sequel to Dragonheart 4: Battle for the Heartfire.

Lukas (Jack Kane), a young farmer whose family is killed by savage raiders in the countryside, sets out on an epic quest for revenge, forming an unlikely trio with a majestic dragon and a swashbuckling, sword-fighting mercenary, Darius (Joseph Millson).
Helena Bonham Carte voices Siveth, the ice breathing dragon who was once banished from the kingdom for failing to save the king’s life. Compelled by the young man’s cause, she emerges from hiding, using her fantastical powers on the trio’s adventurous journey which brings revelations and rewards beyond vengeance.
Development of the script for the fifth movie began directly after completion of Battle for the Heartfire. Filming began early November 2018 in Romania and ended on December 5th. Locations include Râșnov Fortress, the volcanic crater in Racoș, and Bran Castle. Post-production ended on September 21, 2019.
According to an interview with Arturo Muselli, a sixth film has already entered pre-production. It is currently unknown if it will be connected to the other films.
Matthew Feitshans, lead writer on the last three films, said during production of the third film that the plan was to keep up momentum with the series and hopefully lead into a remake of the original film.
