OMG! Does This Comedian ESCAPE The Judges’ Buzzers?! – America’s Got Talent: The Champions
Last winter’s #1 most-watched alternative series, “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” returns for a second season. The series will feature a star-studded panel of judges, including executive producer Simon Cowell, global superstar Heidi Klum, “AGT’s” longest-running judge Howie Mandel and the newest addition – singer, songwriter and author Alesha Dixon, who joins “Champions” from the smash hit “Britain’s Got Talent.” Terry Crews, star of NBC’s “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and People magazine’s “Sexiest TV Host,” returns as host. “America’s Got Talent: The Champions” brings together the world’s most talented, memorable and all-around fan-favorite acts from past seasons of “AGT” and from the other “Got Talent” franchises around the globe.
Dan Naturman is an American stand-up comedian, who has made numerous appearances on television. His performing style of grouchiness and self-deprecation accompanies his comic content about modern topics such as Internet dating and terrorism. He has appeared on the television series Last Comic Standing and America’s Got Talent. Naturman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and the Fordham University School of Law.
Naturman has appeared on Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien, as well as his own Comedy Central Presents special.
In 2004 Naturman was a contestant on Last Comic Standing where he was the favorite of celebrity judges Drew Carey and Brett Butler, but he was not selected as one of the final 10 contestants. In 2008 he was again a contestant where he was subsequently advanced to the New York City showcase of season 6, and won a ticket to the semi-finals. In 2014, he was a contestant on America’s Got Talent and was eliminated in the semi-final round.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions (often abbreviated as AGT: The Champions or simply AGTC) is a spin-off of America’s Got Talent (also known as AGT), a televised American talent show competition. Much like the main program, the spin-off was created by Simon Cowell, produced by Fremantle, and broadcast on the NBC television network, premiering on January 7, 2019. The program, which functions in a similar format to AGT, features a variety of participants from across the Got Talent franchise – winners, finalists, live round participants, and other notable entries – competing against each other across a series of preliminaries to secure a place in a grand final and a chance to win a cash prize and the title of America’s chosen “World Champion” within Got Talent.
