On Week 7 (November 20, 2019) of The Masked Singer (Season 2), “Flower” was unmasked and thereby eliminated from the competition, after losing the Smackdown against “Leopard”.
Flower performed a version of “Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor during the Smackdown while Leopard sang “Don’t Cha” by The Pussycat Dolls feat. Busta Rhymes.
Since Flower was the loser in the Smackdown, she was obliged to unmask and reveal her true identity.
So who is the Flower on The Masked Singer Season 2?
Turned out, Flower is none other than Patti LaBelle, the Godmother of Soul.

Patti LaBelle is an American singer, actress, and entrepreneur. LaBelle began her career in the early 1960s as lead singer and front woman of the vocal group, Patti LaBelle and the Bluebelles. Following the group’s name change to Labelle in the early 1970s, they released the iconic disco song “Lady Marmalade” and the group later became the first African-American vocal group to land the cover of Rolling Stone magazine. LaBelle is commonly identified as the “Godmother of Soul”.
After the group split in 1976, LaBelle began a successful solo career, starting with her critically acclaimed debut album, which included the career-defining song, “You Are My Friend”. LaBelle became a mainstream solo star in 1984 following the success of the singles, “If Only You Knew”, “New Attitude” and “Stir It Up”, with the latter two crossing over to pop audiences and becoming radio staples.
The second season of The Masked Singer premiered on September 25, 2019, following a “special sneak peek” on September 15, 2019.
Singer-songwriter Robin Thicke, television personality Jenny McCarthy, actor and comedian Ken Jeong, and recording artist Nicole Scherzinger returned as judges. Nick Cannon once again returned as host.
Anthony Anderson guest judged on episode six, Triumph the Insult Comic Dog (Robert Smigel) guest judged on episode seven, and Joel McHale guest judged on episode eight. T-Pain will guest judge on episode ten.
