CBBC presenter and actor Karim Zeroual (age 26) and professional partner Amy Dowden performed a Contemporary dance routine during Week 10 of Strictly Come Dancing 2019 (Series 17).
Karim and Amy danced to “Drops of Jupiter (Tell Me)” by Australian pop punk band With Confidence.
The dance couple Karim and Amy got a total score of 38, from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Shirley Ballas, Bruno Tonioli and Motsi Mabuse. Their score was a tie with the leading couple in the competition, Kelvin and Oti, who got a total of 38 too, for their Street dance routine.
After 10 dances, Kelvin and Oti are still on top of the leaderboard with an average score of 34.39, followed closely by Karim and Amy who have an average score of 33.8.
Despite their ranking and amazing performance for the night, Karim and Amy landed in the bottom 2, together with couple Saffron Barker and AJ Pritchard (aka Saffron & AJ).
Judges Revel Horwood, Tonioli, and Mabuse voted to save Karim and Amy, all of them giving credit to the technical aspect of the couple’s performance for the night, while head judge Shirley Ballas said she would have saved Karim and Amy, too.
Karim and Amy advance to the to the quarterfinals while YouTube personality Saffron Barker and her professional partner AJ Pritchard, were eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing 2019 (Series 17).
