Zach Bridges performed “Ol’ Red” on The Voice 2019 (Season 17) Blind Auditions.
“Ol’ Red” was originally recorded by George Jones in 1990 and was covered by Kenny Rogers in 1993. But it was Blake Shelton’s 2002 version that became popular and peaked at number 14 on Billboard’s US Hot Country Songs and at number 1 on US Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles (Billboard).
Real-life sweethearts Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani turned their chairs for Zach.
Gwen said she turned around because Zach is a really good singer and that she loves the song and country artists, with Blake Shelton being her favorite.
Blake Shelton narrated how he started as a country singer and said that “Ol’ Red” is his signature song.
As expected, Zach Bridges picked Blake Shelton as his coach.
