Jordan Chase (age 19) of Florida sang Drake White’s “Makin’ Me Look Good Again” on The Voice 2019 (Season 17) Blind Auditions.
Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani, who are sweethearts in real life, turned their chairs for Jordan.
Kelly Clarkson and John Legend watched in amusement as the couple “fought” over Jordan Chase.
Blake praised the accuracy and range of Jordan’s sandpaper voice, and said that fighting for Jordan might mean that he’s gonna pay for it later with his girlfriend Gwen. He said that’s how much he loves Jordan.
Gwen said she likes the honesty in Jordan’s voice, and she can imagine being a 19-year-old boy (which drew a lot of chuckles and comments from the other judges), with a raspy voice, a God-given gift which she thinks is really magical.
In the end, Jordan chose Blake over Gwen.
