When a nuclear strike causes an electromagnetic pulse that cuts off all power, water, and communication to the entire western United States, tech-savvy teenager Reese (Brighton Sharbino) finds herself plunged into a real fight for survival.
As pandemonium grips her city, Reese and her father (Dominic Monaghan) set out on a desperate journey to seek refuge with her doomsday-prepper grandfather (Will Patton) deep in the mountains of the Pacific Northwest. They soon discover that their journey and the splendor of the mountains hide a darkness of their own and in a world gone mad, every encounter with a stranger could be your last.
