Ventriloquis Paul Zerdin (age 47) performed a very funny routine with his puppet “Sam” at the preliminary rounds of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions 2019.
Paul Zerdin’s performance with his very talkative and opinionated puppet Sam, left everyone in stitches. His performance got a well-deserved standing ovation from the audience and from BGT judges Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden.
Zerdin, who’s the Season 10 winner of America’s Got Talent, failed to advance to the Finals of BGT: The Champions, but got the 2nd highest number of audience votes.
The dance group MerseyGirls won the audience vote for the night, and thus advanced to the Finals, along with Alexa Lauenburger, who advanced immediately via the Golden Buzzer from BGT hosts Ant and Dec.
