John Paul Jones (age 24), the bachelor who’s a financial analyst from Maryland, was confronted by Haley Ferguson (age 26) in last night’s episode of Bachelor in Paradise (Season 6, Episode 9).
Haley minced no words in telling John Paul Jones (JPJ) that he didn’t like Derek Peth not being honest with Tayshia Adams, yet JPJ himself didn’t tell her that he was into Tayshia.
“So I’m confused…You told me earlier, but I didn’t know you were actually like that into her. That’s why I asked you on a date, I wouldn’t have asked you if you were actually into her,” said Hayley.
The feisty Haley also told JPJ that if he had hit it off so well with Tayshia, why did he say “Yes” to her date? In essence, Haley was asking JPJ why he misled her when he had feelings for Tayshia.
When JPJ told Haley that Tayshia encouraged her to “test the waters”, Haley exclaimed, “How is that fair to me?”. She also said, why John Paul Jones told her that they had an instant connection. “Why did you give me the rose if you didn’t really feel that way? I would rather just go home.”
As JPJ tried to explain, Haley added, “It’s not about getting a rose for me, it’s actually about finding something serious. I’m not here to play games either. I’m not just here to f*** around.”
In the background, Demi Burnett is seen admiring Haley for giving JPJ “a taste of his own medicine.”
Later, Haley is shown talking about JPJ and crying her heart out with a quiet, serious Blake Horstmann.
