Jennifer Anderson (age 50) from Melbourne, sang a breathtaking cover of “I Dreamed a Dream” and “Dream On” at the semi-finals round of Australia’s Got Talent 2019 (Season 9).
“I Dreamed a Dream” is a song from the musical Les Misérables, where it is sung as a solo by the character Fantine during the first act. The music is by Claude-Michel Schönberg, with orchestrations by John Cameron.
“Dream On” is a power ballad by Aerosmith from their 1973 debut album, Aerosmith.
Jennifer Anderson’s performance got the Golden Buzzer from guest judge Hans, advancing her to the next round (the grand finals) of the competition. Along with Anderson, comedy mentalist Lioz Shem Tov also advanced to the grand finals, winning the Judges’ choice at the Semi-final 3 of Australia’s Got Talent.
Lioz Shem Tov and Jennifer Anderson will join the other acts who have advanced to the grand finals, namely Sienna Osborne, Olina Loau, Captain Ruin, and Lil Kookies.
