The Ndlovu Youth Choir from Limpopo, South Africa performed a wonderful version of ‘Africa’ on America’s Got Talent 2019 finals (Season 14).

‘Africa’ is a song by the American band Toto, released in 1981. It reached number one on the United States’ Billboard Hot 100 chart.

The Ndlovu Youth Choir, led by their director Ralf Schmitt, did a South African spin on Toto’s hit song, adding more authenticity and meaning to the song which speaks of a man’s love of the continent Africa.

Everyone was up on their feet, dancing or clapping to Ndlovu’s exuberant performance and AGT judges had nothing but praises for the youth choir.

Simon Cowell described Ndlovu Youth Choir’s final performance as “the best final I have ever sat on in my life.”

Julianne Hough said she is so blessed to watch Ndlovu and for the joy they bring to everyone. “To everybody watching all over the world, if you can dream it, you can do it.”

Gabrielle Union said she is so proud. She told them, “You are the pride of Africa, you are the pride of America. You have literally changed your entire trajectory with one performance.”

Howie Mandel agreed with Gabrielle and said, “You know, you’re right. You’re not only the pride of Africa and youth in the world. You make us so proud to be part of this world and to have you on this planet. This has been the most emotional, inspirational, wonderful talent, talented-filled final that I have ever been part of…what a finale!”
