The Kill Team is an action drama war film written and directed by Dan Krauss.
It follows the story of Andrew Briggman (Nat Wolff), a young US soldier deployed in Afghanistan, who witnesses other recruits killing innocent civilians under the direction of a sadistic leader named Sergeant Deeks (Alexander Skarsgård). He thinks of reporting them to higher-ups, but the increasingly violent platoon becomes suspicious that someone in their ranks has turned on them. Andrew begins to fear that he might just be the next target.
This movie is based on the same events that inspired Krauss’ own 2013 documentary also titled The Kill Team, about an American soldier in Afghanistan who faced a moral dilemma because of his commanding officer’s behavior.
