D Minor (age 25), a rapper from Sydney, New South Wales, performed his original song “Concrete Pillow” during the auditions in Australia’s Got Talent 2019 (Season 9).
“Concrete Pillow” is about D Minor’s (real name Daniel Harvey) life and experience in homelessness from a young age. Through his music, he says he wants to raise awareness about a situation that is really big in Australia.
D Minor’s performance did not fail to touch the audience and the judges, who were brought to tears by the powerful message of his song.
All of Australia’s Got Talent judges, namely Nicole Scherzinger, Shane Jacobson, Manu Feildel, and Lucy Durack gave D Minor their yes votes, moving him up to the next level of the competition.
