Emmane Beasha, the 10-year-old opera singer from Florida, sang an amazing rendition of “Ebben” at the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent 2019 (Season 14).
“Ebben” (“Ebben? Ne andrò lontana”) is an aria from ‘La Wally,’ an opera of four acts by composer Alfredo Catalani, to a libretto by Luigi Illica, first performed at La Scala in 1892.
Emanne Beasha received a Golden Buzzer from guest judge Jay Leno during the Judge Cuts round. (See: AGT 2019 Jay Leno Golden Buzzer).
Beasha’s mesmerizing quarterfinal performance earned a standing ovation from the live audience at the Dolby Theatre and from the AGT judges.
Simon Cowell was bowled over and told Emanne:
You weren’t just in a different league tonight, you’re on a different planet from everyone else…This is one of those times I’m gonna remember. It’s like watching the Olympics when someone with a God given talent does something so amazing, you’re just gobsmacked. If you don’t get through, I will eat this judging table after that. That was unbelievable.
Julianne Hough said, “What you just did transcended anything that I have ever heard…You are literally an icon at 10 years old because people are going to be trying to follow in your footsteps. That was mind-blowing! You are… I’m in awe.”
Gabrielle Union commented, “The opera world should thank you. You just created millions of fans worldwide with the gift that is your voice. You are a true blessing, young lady.”
Howie Mandel said he doesn’t like opera but even with that he said, “You are purely an amazing talent. You can’t deny that whether you like it or not.”
Emmane Beasha, an American/Jordanian singer of Circassian descent, is the winner of Arabs Got Talent 2017.
