Callie Day sang a beautiful version of “Up to the Mountain” during the Judge Cuts round in America’s Got Talent 2019 (AGT Season 14).
“Up to the Mountain” is a contemporary folk song written by Patty Griffin, originally recorded by Solomon Burke in 2006 and by Griffin herself in 2007.
AGT Judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Julianne Hough, Gabrielle Union and guest judge Jay Leno, gave Callie Day a standing ovation for her emotional performance and also gave her glowing comments. But in the end, Callie Day did not make it through the live shows, which was quite a letdown for some viewers who believed Callie should have been included in the Top 36 acts of AGT 2019.
