On a day at the races, Nick O’Bannon (Bobby Campo) has a premonition in which a bizarre sequence of events causes multiple race cars to crash, brutally killing his friends and causing the upper deck of the stands to collapse on him.
When Nick comes out of this nightmare, he panics and persuades his girlfriend, Lori (Shantel VanSanten), and their friends, Janet (Haley Webb) and Hunt (Nick Zano), to leave, escaping seconds before Nick’s frightening vision becomes a terrible reality. But death sets out to collect those who evaded their end.
The Final Destination (also known as ‘Final Destination 4’) is a 3D supernatural horror film written by Eric Bress and directed by David R. Ellis, both of whom also worked on Final Destination 2. It is the fourth installment of the Final Destination film series, and the first to be shot in HD 3D.
Among films in the Final Destination franchise, it is currently the highest-grossing, earning $186 million worldwide. At the same time, The Final Destination also received the worst critical reception of the franchise.
