South Side is written by and stars Bashir Salahuddin (Glow) and Diallo Riddle (Marlon). It is an aspirational, scripted comedy set in the working class neighborhood of Englewood on the South Side of Chicago.
The comedy series follows two friends, fresh community college graduates Simon and Kareem, as they pursue their dreams. But until they do, they continue their jobs at Rent-T-Own, a retail-rental crossroads where the South Side’s vast ensemble of characters come together.
