Singer and rapper, Lizzo (age 31), expresses her desire to play the role of Ursula (an evil sea witch) on the upcoming live-action remake of ‘The Little Mermaid’ movie.
It was after a report that said Melissa McCarthy is in early talks to play as Ursula in the movie. Though, it was also written in the report that the deal is not yet completed, it has yet to be finalized. (Melissa McCarthy Ursula)
Lizzo posted the link to the report on Twitter with a “pleading face” emoticon.

She then posted the video (which could pass for an audition video) she tweeted back in November 2018 dressed as Ursula (complete with big hair and makeup), singing “Poor Unfortunate Souls” which was sung to Princess Ariel by Ursula the Sea Witch in the original “The Little Mermaid” (1989) animated movie.

Lizzo’s fans tweeted their support for their idol’s dream to be Ursula in The Little Mermaid reboot.
Some even threatened Disney that they wouldn’t watch the upcoming movie if Lizzo isn’t the one who plays as Ursula.
