Katherine Heigl (age 40) might return to play the role of Dr. Izzie Stevens (for which she won an Emmy in 2007) of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital (Seattle Grace Hospital) in Grey’s Anatomy.
Katherine Heigl is currently working in the popular TV series, Suits (Season 9) final season, which will return on July 17, 2019. (Suits Season 9 Episode 1)
ET interviewed Katherine Heigl if Grey’s Anatomy (she played Dr. Izzie Stevens for six seasons) ever crossed her mind. Her response was open-ended when asked about her coming back to Grey’s Anatomy.
I haven’t [thought about Dr. Izzie Stevens] in years.
I don’t know. I don’t know if I would or if I wouldn’t.
I almost feel like that would almost be distracting again to, sort of, what they’ve done with that show in the seven years since I left… and what that’s become and what it is to the fans now.
It must feel like it would just be kind of like, ‘Yeah, we already let that go… why are you here?’
