The Food Network’s ‘Worst Cooks in America: Celebrity Edition’ 2019 had its season finale on June 2, 2019 and the winner was finally crowned.
The final two contestants who competed in the finale of Season 16 are retired American figure skater Tonya Harding and Filipino-American actor and comedian Alec Mapa, who were mentored by hosts Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence, respectively.
The finalists were asked to create a three-course meal for guests and culinary experts Leah Cohen, Zac Posen and Melba Wilson.
The 3 experts got to decide which celebrity novice cook takes home the USD 25,000 for the charity of their choice.
In the end, the judges chose Tonya Harding as the winner of “Worst Cooks in America” Season 16: Celebrity Edition 5. Tonya revealed that she will donate her prize to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Runner-up Alec Mapa did not go home empty-handed as he won USD 2,500 for his chosen charity, “Raise a Child”.
